iCloud and iOS5 Announced by Apple
0iCloud and iOS5 will be announced by Apple at its annual developer’s conference in San Francisco on June 6th. In an unusual move by Apple, the content of the keynote has been released well ahead of time. Apple usually ensure a very thick veil of secrecy surrounds their product announcements but have been upfront this year and have confirmed that this years releases will be entirely software.

Some iPhone fans were still expecting (hoping) the iPhone 5 would be announced, but with the very recent addition of the white iPhone 4, that was never realistically going to happen. I don’t expect the iPhone 5 to be released until November/December, or perhaps even January 2012.
Although nobody really knows what the iCloud will offer, one can assume it is an internet-based virtual server, that enables users of More >
How to Delete the Hidden iPhone Tracking Data
0It was recently revealed that iPhones have a hidden data file called consolidated.db that stores information on the location of the iPhone, and therefore provides a database of your movements. It is still not known what this file is used for, as Apple have not commented, but it is clear that the file is not sent back to Apple at any point so fears over privacy are not as bad as they might seem.
The real issue for iPhone users is that the file is not encrypted and is accessible by jailbreaking your iPhone and downloading to any PC.
The problem here is that a jealous spouse, or a sneaky boss (if you have a work iPhone) can easily get this file from your phone and see exactly where you have been, and how long you were there.

Hardware Issue Cause of White iPhone Delay
0Many many many of us have been waiting quite patiently for almost five months now for Apple to release the white iPhone 4. Every time there is a hint of a release date we hear the official verdict from Apple that the release will be delayed even further.
One or two white iPhones have been spotted in the wild, but these are likely prototypes or test models while Apple hone the design and ensure that the white iPhone has no problems. They really need this one to be trouble free!
Whilst Apple have never indicated why the white version is continually delayed, a source from within has indicated that the delay is due to a hardware issue. Due to the white glass on the case, it seems that there is some light ingress into the camera sensor which causes washed out photos and video images.

iPhone 5 now trending in Google
1It looks as though a whole heap of you are searching on google for ‘iPhone 5′, as it is currently the second suggested search item when you type in iPhone to the search box. So why the sudden interest? Apple have historically released a new iPhone every year, in June/July and following their usual pattern it is likely that the next iPhone will only be a minor update – such as the iPhone 3 to iPhone 3GS.
Rumour has it that the next iPhone will support LTE super fast mobile broadband (in the U.S. anyway), which will make the iPhone 5 a 4G phone and may indicate that the name will change to the iPhone 4G or 4GS.
Other things on the wish list for the iPhone 5 – better battery life, a faster processor (again), more storage, a bigger usable screen, and a new case material would all More >
