iPhone 4S – I like it

0

Well, the anticipation is over and those waiting patiently for the iPhone 5 with its massive technological advances and dramatic new looks will have to make do with the iPhone 4S instead. It’s hardly a big surprise, as we predicted a few months ago. Apple have just spent the last 9 months fixing antenna issues and figuring out how to make the current iPhone 4 design work in a white skin. With the white iPhone 4 only about 5 minutes old I can’t really understand why anybody was expecting a brand new design so soon, especially given Apple’s history of major upgrade-minor upgrade-major upgrade.

With that in mind, we can now probably predict the iPhone 5 release will be in around 9-10 month’s time from now.

Saying all of that, I like the 4S. It is still a massive upgrade from the iPhone More >

iPhone 5 on 4th October – unless Samsung get a win

So it looks like the iPhone 5 will be announced on 4th October 2011. Apple have called a press conference and started to invite a number of high profile press to the event. iphonefan.co.uk has also been contacted by a very big iPhone supplier asking for us to advertise their iPhone 5 preorders, so unless they are jumping the gun we can pretty much confirm this will be the iPhone 5 as opposed to the iPhone 4G or any other possible name (we refused!).

If the iPhone 5 announcement does come on the 4th October, we predict the release date will be within 14 days of the announcement which means that our friends in the US of A will be getting their hands on the iPhone 5 towards the end of October. In the UK, stocks will obviously be low to enhance More >

iPhone 5 details leaked – the biggest phone launch in history

O2 and Vodafone both appear to be working with Apple to stir up some interest in the soon-to-be announced iPhone 5.

Here is what we now know, thanks to some clever iPhone marketing strategist at Apple (am I cynical?):

  • The iPhone 5 will be released or announced on October 21st 2012.
  • The iPhone 5 will be available at launch in black or white options.
  • The iPhone 5 will be available at launch with 16 or 32Gb of space.
And here is what we know thanks to a German Apple website product page (the jury is still out on the authenticity of this one):
  • 4.2-inch Retina Display
  • 32GB and 64GB memory options
  • 30 per cent thinner and 18 per cent lighter
  • A unibody aluminium design
  • Dual-core A5 chip
  • 8MP camera with HD video recording

We have already been subjected to Apples genius marketing ploy, it worked so well last time that they have done the same thing again and we, and the press, have fallen for it yet again. How it’s possible to leave a ‘prototype’ phone in a bar that is worth thousands of dollars and at least one employee’s head is so inconceivable that it is obviously a stunt. Not More >
